Power
is basically brute strength. How much momentum can your muscles create?
Will your body tolerate the power exerted by your muscles?
Will the tendons, ligaments and joints hold together? Professional
weightlifters are very aware of their posture including the position
of their lower extremities. They make certain their knees
are tracking right over the feet. For a weightlifter,
forgetting to properly control their knees can result in a
career ending injury.
So power in lifting isn't just brute strength. In fact
athletes who are blessed with incredible strength are usually
instructed to hold back and not exert their full strength until
they have learnt proper technique and have undergone the proper
conditioning exercises. Then they can pour it on.
Wear
Posture Control Insoles(TM) to reduce hyperpronation
(ankles that roll in) and improve posture and body alignment. Correct
alignment is the body's green light to exert full power.
