involving New Zealand racing stories. There are 31 chapters embracing
great storytellers headed by Hawera’s Ronald Hugh Morrieson,
Maurice Gee, Frank Sargeson, Maurice Duggan and Barbara Anderson.
The racing historians play their part, too, with renditions from
Miriam Macgregor Redwood, Mary Mountier, Jack Glengarry, Tony Morris
and company. The content ranges from colonial times to the
great equine millionairess Horlicks in the past decade. This is
a soft covered book.
