Under evergreen West Australian horseman Jack Miles, he was to become a legend not only in his home state West Australia but in the eastern states and New Zealand with 14 wins from 20 appearances and adding some breathtaking time trials

He was a tardy beginner, giving away big starts yet overcaming these with some spectacular victories. The crowds loved him.
